• Daily rates run from AED 80 to around AED 150, depending on model year and supplier. A 2025 Mazda 3 from a Business Bay or JLT operator sits near the bottom of that range. A 2026 model from a larger branch network sits nearer the top.
   

• Weekly rates start around AED 520. Monthly rates start at AED 1,599 and run to roughly AED 1,850 for the newest cars.

A standard Mazda 3 rental carries a deposit of roughly AED 1,000 to AED 1,500. It is held as a pre-authorisation on your credit card rather than charged - the money is ring-fenced, not taken, and it releases automatically. That release usually happens 20 to 30 days after your rental ends, which is longer than most people expect and is the single most common source of complaint in Dubai car rental.

This takes ninety seconds and it prevents the overwhelming majority of deposit disputes in Dubai - nearly all of which come down to disagreement about pre-existing damage.

Check that the rental agreement is issued under the same company name shown on the OneClickDrive listing. If the paperwork arrives under a different trading name, stop and ask why.

Get three numbers in writing before you sign: the deposit amount, the mileage cap, and the insurance excess.
 

The Mazda 3 - What You Are Actually Getting

A 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, front-wheel drive, automatic gearbox. Around 155 horsepower in most UAE trims. It is not fast in any absolute sense, but it is noticeably more responsive than a Yaris or an Accent, and the steering is genuinely good - which almost nothing else at this price can claim.

It seats five, though four is more comfortable. Boot space is competitive in the sedan and adequate in the hatchback. The interior is the real surprise: soft-touch materials, a proper rotary infotainment controller rather than a laggy touchscreen, and a driving position that feels like a more expensive car.

Fuel economy is good, though not quite Yaris-good - the larger engine costs you a little at the pump. It takes regular 95 petrol.

The honest summary: for the same money as an economy sedan, you get a car that is materially nicer to spend time in. If you are renting for a month and you will be driving every day, that difference is worth more than the AED 5 a day it might cost you.
 

Mazda 3, Toyota Yaris, or Hyundai Accent?

The Yaris and Accent are cheaper to rent and marginally cheaper to fuel. They are entirely competent and there is nothing wrong with either.

The Mazda 3 costs a little more and is a substantially better car to drive, sit in and look at. If you are renting for a day or two and simply need transport, the difference does not matter. If you are renting for a month and it will be your daily car, it matters a great deal.
